Elite Training Programme

Join BDT’s Elite Training Programme 2024/25 where you can experience the professional dancing scene in the vivid and dynamic city of Budapest.

Learn contemporary and classical ballet dancing from our company members and famous international teachers.


The Professional training program provides participants a unique opportunity to train as versatile and multi-disciplinary dancers, working and training alongside Budapest Dance Theatre, one of the leading dance companies in Hungary. The regular training, which involves classical ballet, modern, floorwork and contemporary techniques and repertoire classes, are held by the qualified standard of Budapest Dance Theatre. Classes are held from Monday to Friday every week. You can have an insight to the everyday life of a professional dance company, gain experience and improve your skills in an intercultural environment.

In addition, during the Program, students have performances as well, from the repertoire of Budapest Dance Theatre. Working side by side with Budapest Dance Theatre in repertoire rehearsals, students will gain an insight to the working environment of a professional company.

The program runs from September 2024/ to June 2025.

Those who fulfill the Program with outstanding quality, have the chance to receive a private diploma of BDT. After finishing the Program, several students have been chosen to work for professional companies, in Hungary or also in other countries.

The audition for BDT's ELITE Training Programme 2024/25 is an OPEN audition.

It will be held by video audition. Therefore, applicants do not need to travel to Budapest for auditioning.

Requirements


Applicants must be over 18 years old by the 1th September 2024.

The course is suitable for students finishing their studies or experienced performers, and dancers aiming to continue their professional development. Applicants must have experience in every day trainings previously, to be able to fulfil the classes both physically and mentally.
