Description
The grandparents of my children and great-grandparents are densely woven threads of space and time. The magnetic effect of the Big Bang, which continues to attract and repel, draws the world together into groups, communities, nations. It connects and repels the fruits of creation along emotional worldviews and deciphering the mystery of life.
My new piece uses contemporary dance to question and answer, through my own spiritual eyes, all the mysteries of attachment, bonding, the truth of belonging and togetherness.
The dancer himself stretches the boundaries and emotional fibres of this thought circle by tensing and releasing muscle fibres and tendons, alone and clinging together.
And where is the man?
I feel that our relationships determine our physical, mental and social well-being. One unconsciously desires order. Order is security, security is peace.
We would like to create the performance as a major product of the National Dance Theatre. The infrastructure and the roof structure of the theatre will allow the poetic images of the idea: tendons, fibres, ties, to materialise the idea. With this idea, we are thinking of an unprecedented, novel dance performance and formal world, filled with deep content by the choreographer.
Since its inception, the ars poetics of Budapest Dance Theatre, which has been seeking new ways to create and preserve value, has created many productions in collaboration with the National Dance Theatre. We are thinking about continuing our tradition of productions that were created primarily for domestic audiences, but are also highly appreciated internationally. We believe and trust that we will again produce a valuable, quality performance.
