Description

Shaman, shaman, oracle, oracle, all have supernatural powers, chosen by supernatural beings. Constant questions about the future are the eternal tasks of human communities. Man is constantly looking for clues, reaching back to ancient teachings that can provide positive reinforcement: community strength, rituals, sacredness, traditions. But the extremes of our world and of human society always cause these cultures and human aspirations to fade away. The author reflects on this, on the why, the sense or the nonsense of it, and offers the audience a kind of thought-provoking lecture.

The aim is to make the viewer think that without individual responsibility and community power we cannot expect a good future. So many negative predictions have been made and these predictions are self-fulfilling. The choreographer also reveals his own inner fears about the future of humanity. Oracle, initiation, rite, trance, orgy, whip forest, exile, atonement, new beginning, joining, world torn in two Attila Tókos fuses the ancient power of authentic dance and rhythm with the modern-contemporary formal language of Budapest Dance Theatre. A kind of dance unity, where the aim is to display the primordial power of archaic circle dances, which can captivate anyone and anything that comes in its way.
