This year, the Budapest Dance Theatre celebrates its 30th anniversary.
This is a truly special year in the company's life, so we're preparing a rather diverse premiere! For the first act of the evening, created to mark the thirtieth birthday, Béla Földi has commissioned five creators.
All the guest choreographers (Sághy Alexandra, Barta Dóra, Egerházi Attila, Zachár Lóránd, Fodor Zoltán) started their careers at the Budapest Dance Theatre, and have since become well-known and recognised company leaders and creative artists, strengthening the Hungarian dance profession.
The second act of the evening will feature a piece by the justly renowned Czech choreographer, Jiří Pokorný, entitled "You Will Return Someday". Jiří previously worked with our ensemble in 2016, with his piece "Doze" being performed with great worldwide success by the company.
