We recommend the programme to dancers who wish to develop and gain an insight into the world of a professional dance artist. Our Elite Training Programme lasts for one year (from September to the end of June) and in the 2023/2024 season, it celebrates its 12th year of operation.
Learn contemporary dance and classical ballet from Béla Földi, the founding director of the Budapest Dance Theatre, as well as from our company's artists and other Hungarian and foreign masters! The programme offers the opportunity for daily training and provides a versatile education alongside one of Hungary's leading companies. The Budapest Dance Theatre has been operating for 30 years and educates future dance artists with a significant teaching concept. Daily training includes classical ballet, modern training, floor technique, contemporary dance technique, and repertoire classes, all conducted at the high standard expected from the Budapest Dance Theatre, keeping in mind the company's training philosophy and core principles.
The Elite Training also provides insight into the daily life of a professional ensemble. Furthermore, students are given stage opportunities, showcasing pieces from the ensemble's repertoire at the DEPO Gala held at the end of each semester. Those who excel in the training will receive the Budapest Dance Theatre's private diploma at the end of the year. Many of the dancers who graduate from our institution receive contracts with professional ensembles and find work in the profession, both domestically and abroad.
