Chekhov: Three Sisters
One destiny or three different paths? A character's daydreaming or the soul's escape from the reality of everyday life, longing to break free from all of us? Our dreams, our hopes, which in the absence of actions and the will to act, degenerate into recurring, apathetic thoughts, thereby depriving ourselves of the opportunity to recognise and experience the happiness that lies in the present. The thoughts created by ourselves, deeply steeped in self-pity, plunge us into disillusioned indifference.
