See you in the air! – Many Ways
Pablo Servigne's book "L'Entraide" provided the inspiration for the creation of Budapest Dance Theatre's new performance, "Goodbye in the Air!". According to the law prevailing in nature, living beings compete with each other for survival, but according to the sociologist, another rule can also be found, namely collaboration. He presents numerous examples showing that the living world is hardwired for cooperation, not competition, in extreme circumstances. The Budapest Dance Theatre's creation presents cooperation and collaboration, which it places at the centre as the antithesis of the competitive outlook on life that pervades our society today. Cooperation, through which we can transcend the limits imposed by our ego in extreme circumstances, and overcome the selfishness stemming from our fears. Is it a utopian thought to place the interest of the community above the individual?
